    Michael A. Stumpf
He has a fascination for capturing light images since childhood. In 1972, he got his first Kodak Instamatic camera. Even when out of film, he enjoyed composing photos through the viewfinder and pressing the shutter button. His late father often reminded him that they had family members who lived in Oberkochen, Germany, where the headquarters of the legendary Carl Zeiss camera lens headquarters was and is currently, located. Occasionally, his dad (a graphic arts printer by profession) would see a Zeiss advertisement in a publication he was reading and he would call him to his side saying, "Now look at this photograph, just look at what you can capture with a Zeiss lens!" These days, there is a lot more competition in the pro-sumer lens industry. Currently, he enjoys capturing images through Zeiss glass and a variety of other quality lenses. Today, his photographic and artistic passion has led him to having three of his nature shots selected for The Museum Of Chincoteague's "Wall of Photos," National Geographic "Your Shot" five times Editor's Favorite, a front page photo on the Daily American print newspaper, The National Arts Program of Richmond First Place Professional Division, and Laurel Arts of Somerset, PA, Best In Show. For those of you who are interested in taking classes from him and would like to see some of his works, please see his Instagram page:
