This two-hour meetup is for all skill levels and any camera type, including cell phones. We will be exploring downtown Portsmouth all dressed up for the holidays. After a discussion on what Street Photography is and how to go about it, we will walk High Street and the surrounding area. I enjoyed the event. It was hands on experiential and I appreciate the effort that is made to give us best practices for capturing beautiful moments. This included learning about utilizing natural light with reflectors inside and out. It is definitely a skill for intermediate -advanced skill photography.

I?m not sure what I expected from this class. I?ve watch many U-Tube videos on the subject and I guess expected the same thing, white marker board and a lecture on the triangle. I was surprised with the hands on exercises and feel it?s what you can?t get from a video. Most of us understand how exposure, aperture and iso are related but the hands on exercises and suggestions within those exercises are what I was hoping for. I just wanted to thank you and let you know I enjoyed the class. Neil

The event was informative, interactive, fun and relevant to adding to my knowledge about the correct manual settings to use to allow more or less light using Shutter Speed, ISO, and Aperture settings, This is a more than a basic approach to getting better photos and taking control of the possible desired photo outcome. I have gained a greater level of confidence understanding. Thank you and blessings, Melody Bagby

Story: Went out to mo the grass and noticed this little mantis hanging on to a blade of grass near my porch. It looked to be at the end of its lifespan. After mowing the grass (1 hr later) it was still there, on the same blade of grass as if to say, "help me please". There was no saving this little one, so I decided to capture its soul so it's likeness can be viewed by many for years to come. Thanks little Mantis.

I am animateur photographer that is getting close retirement, so I have decided to try and expand and improve my photograph skills. The one thing that has stuck with me is if you want take better pictures you should try a take pictures as often as possible, I have never really done much macro photography and the new less that I bought said it could do it, so I practiced with the dandelion from my back yard.I use a Sony a7 iv with a Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II Lens, @ 2.8.

I took this picture as a quiet metaphor for life. The wheel rpresents the circle of life: rising, reaching its height, and slowly descending. The sunset suggests the end of the journey, not with fear, but with beauty and dignity. The reflection in the river is like old memoriessoft, blurred, but still alive. In that moment, I felt I was not photographing London, but time itself: life moving in a circle, the day coming to an end, and the past glowing gently in the water.
